What is the difference between character count with and without spaces?
Character count with spaces includes every character including spaces, tabs, and newlines. Character count without spaces counts only visible characters, excluding all whitespace.
Can I set a maximum character limit?
Yes. Enter a number in the Max Length field and the tool will show a progress bar and a remaining character count. This is useful for Twitter/X (280), Instagram captions (2200), or meta descriptions (160).
Does the character counter work offline?

Why is my line count higher than expected?
Each physical line break (pressing Enter) counts as a separate line. Wrapped text that visually spans multiple lines but has no line break character counts as a single line.
